OCCA 2024 Annual Meeting and Election
Because of the recent inclement weather, the January 16, 2024 Olde Cobblestone Community Association (OCCA) Annual Meeting and Election had to be cancelled. As a fallback, an alternative form of the meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 25 at the OCCA Clubhouse from 2:00-7:00pm. Because the clubhouse can’t accommodate everyone at one time the meeting will span multiple hours to allow OCCA homeowners to come and go at their convenience and, while they’re there, vote for the next Board Director, vote on the 2024 budget, and ask any questions concerning the presentation material.
The originally planned presentation is now posted below for homeowners review prior to the annual meeting. For your reference the year ending 2023 Operating and Reserve statements and the proposed 2024 Operating and Reserve Budgets are also posted.
The election for one OCCA Board of Directors position will be held at this meeting. This board member will serve for a term of two years and is eligible to serve as an officer (president, vice president, treasurer, or secretary) of the OCCA although the treasurer is the officer position that needs to be filled. All information regarding the nominees and election process are posted below.
The Director election requires a quorum (25%) of homeowners either attending or represented by proxy at the meeting, or through mail-in ballots. The budget vote also requires a quorum (25%) of homeowners either attending or represented by proxy at the meeting. As of the end of the year Olde Cobblestone has 199 homes, therefore a quorum of at least 50 homeowners is required. We will track attendance throughout the meeting period to ensure we reach the necessary quorum by the time the meeting is over.

Basic Schedule of Events:
12/6/23 – 12/26/23 – Open nomination period and meetings with candidates
1/1/24 – Finalize ballot with candidates on webpage and email voting announcement
1/1/24 – 1/14/24 – Collect mail-in and drop-off ballots, collect proxies. All mail-in ballots and proxies must be RECEIVED by 1/14/24.
1/16/24 1/25/24 – Conduct election at annual meeting: sign-in, conduct floor nominations (if any), collect ballots of attendees, tabulate, announce winners
1/21/24 1/31/24 – Confirm results, preserve ballots and documents including Certified Tellers Report
